At SMG Vets and Farm Services, our Treatment and Disease Management unit, operating through Mukisa Veterinary Clinic, provides full-spectrum medical care for both small and large animals. We diagnose, treat, and prevent a wide range of animal diseases using scientifically proven methods and modern veterinary technologies. Our goal is to protect animal health, enhance productivity, and prevent the spread of infectious diseases within farms and communities.
Through our mobile veterinary units, we extend treatment and vaccination services to farmers in remote and underserved areas, ensuring that every animal, whether a household pet or livestock, receives prompt and professional care.
East Coast Fever (ECF)
A tick-borne disease caused by Theileria parva, leading to high fever, swollen lymph nodes, and severe losses in cattle if not treated promptly.
Brucellosis
A bacterial infection that causes abortions, infertility, and reduced milk yield in livestock, and can also spread to humans through unpasteurized milk or contact.
Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD)
A highly contagious viral disease affecting cloven-hoofed animals, causing mouth and hoof blisters, drooling, and lameness, leading to major economic losses.
Mastitis
An inflammation of the udder tissue in dairy animals, often caused by bacteria, resulting in swollen udders, clotted milk, and decreased milk production.

This condition develops when animals develop an allergic reaction to flea saliva. Even a single flea bite can cause intense itching, redness, and scabbing around the tail, belly, or back.
